Surf Spots: Cloud 9, philippines

Cloud 9 was introduced to the surfing world in 1992 by Surfer Magazine along with Evan Slater and Taylor Knox. Located inside a 10,000 meter deep trench the waves hit the reef undisturbed. One tip: don’t try to shoulder hop because you will be pitched over by the “bowlness” of the wave. CLoud 9 doesn’t require a wetsuit. Just a shirt to shield from the sweltering heat. Swells between september and december are groomed by howling off-shore winds.
