The Board doesn’t make the surfer
A lot of less experienced surfers, will pay a lot of $$$$ for a top of the line surfboard. There is no problem with that as long as they realize that the surfboard does not make the surfer. Experianced surfers can ride any board – in any surf conditions – and get some really good rides. Sure a newer, top of the line carbon fiber board will surf a lot better than a beater board. But just remember that the board doesn’t make the surfer. Try switching it up by riding a board that you don’t ride very often. It will make you a lot better surfer if you can surf any board that you want.
