Today the girls took to the water as the last stop on the womens world tour for 2012 got underway. Waves were less than exciting but all the surfers made the best of conditions which were presented to them.
The second heat of round 1 with Lakey Peterson, Sage Erickson and Tyler Wright had to the be the heat of the day as Lakey Peterson came up with the win after struggling to find her first wave 1/2 through her heat.
We also saw some of the top men take to the water including Brett Simpson, Kelly Slater, Julian Wilson and Evan Gieselman. The crowds continue to show up everyday, which is keeping sponsors stoked after spending so much money to put the event on.
