The 2012 Nike US Open of Surfing got off to a quick start Saturday morning and thousands came down to check out the action; both in the water and on land. While the waves were less than ideal, the Mens Juniors division took to the water and put on quite a show. It was evident that local knowledge plays a huge part in smaller waves.
