Julian Wilson is one of the most likable surfers on tour by far. His relaxed attitude during heats and support from his sponsors has made him a force to reckon with on the ASP World Tour. Did I mention he can surf really really well? In addition to being a very talented surfer he generally has plenty of support from the beach, including 31,000+ Twitter Followers.
There is no reason why Julian Wilson can't be the next ASP World Champion. Nonetheless, the same things were said about Taj Burrow and its something that has come back to haunt him. I hope Julian Wilson continues to surf like he has been to win him a couple contests to start some momentum towards a World Title; but only time will tell!
