Santa Barbara is quite possibly my favorite place in the world. Everyone there is so nice and there are plenty of things to do. From farmers markets to local community events; there are never dull moments. Add in some great surf spots and you can see why many professional surfers call Santa Barbara home.
Luckily, you to can enjoy Santa Barbara by attending UCSB which is situated right along the ocean and is host to various surf spots. While UCSB is known for being a party school; it's reputation is slowing changing as it is becoming more academically competitive to be accepted.
UCSB is a great college for surfers as long as you don't mind cold water and big sharks!
