Aside from the price, people really like them. I think the biggest trade off is the price. Paying over $1,000 dollars (sometimes $2000) for a Surfboard is a huge investment. Aviso cost two times the price of a standard shortboard and about the same as a hand-shaped classic longboard; they are not the most affordable board. But if you can afford one, then go for it.
